Years in the game? Been on the bench all my life, working at it. I got a long way to go and frankly, not sure I’ll ever stop pushing. I only got into the game in the last 7 years.
In your opinion, the most influential or culturally significant artist(s) of the last 75 years? That’s a broad ranging cluster of people…From Lucia Freud, to Banksy, Warhol to Shawn Barber.
Oil, acrylic, aerosols, ink, lead? Acrylics, Ink, graphite, color pencil, charcoal, aerosol…just anything that will leave a mark.
Do you ride a skateboard? If so, for how long? I did, once for five minutes…mum was an ER nurse, she saw me take a digger and that ended my hopes of going pro!
Do you ride a surfboard? If so, for how long? I started out as a sponger when just a wee lad, began surfing when I was 15. Would take my dad’s tanker out. Longboarding grew on me and I have been surfing ever since. I get out as often as I can, like 2
How did your involvement with Riviera Skateboards develop? Solomon spotted my work at the OC Fair the summer of 2011, and after a few discussions the ball was rolling.
If you had to choose between starring on a reality TV show or being married to a reality TV show star, which would you choose? Why? The former to be sure.
Budweiser, Dos Equis, Corona, Stella, Pabst? Anderson Valley Boont Amber Ale, but if my hands were tied to that list PBR….those others are way too mainstream!
What’s on the horizon with your art? Partly cloudy with a chance of meatballs!
